Medical Services
Bridger Clinic provides well woman health care including contraception. Testing and treatment for STIs is available for both men and women. All reversible birth control methods are available at Bridger Clinic, including fertility awareness instruction (natural family planning). We provide counseling and referral for male and female sterilization. Annual exams for women include a pap test for cervical cancer screening and breast exam. Male exams are limited to testicular cancer screening and STI diagnosis and treatment. Birth control method education and counseling is provided.

Pregnancy Planning
Our medical care includes counseling and health screening for women anticipating pregnancy. A visit for pre-conceptual care addresses rubella immunity (testing or immunization), nutrition, STI screening and focuses on the special concerns each woman or couple brings to the visit. Fertility Awareness instruction provides an understanding of the menstrual cycle which can aid conception. Women planning pregnancy should review their family medical history, avoid alcohol, drug and tobacco use, eat a healthy diet, exercise moderately, minimize the risk of STI exposure and plan ahead with the guidance of a medical provider to decrease or stop medications (including oral contraceptives). If there has been ANY risk of HIV infection for either partner, an HIV antibody test should be done before trying to become pregnant.

Pregnancy Testing
Bridger Clinic offers free pregnancy testing. A urine pregnancy test is generally accurate after a period has been missed. Occasionally a blood test for pregnancy may be requested through a laboratory at the client's expense. Pregnancy options counseling is available for women who request information on prenatal care and delivery, adoption, or abortion.

Education
We are pleased to provide individuals and groups with education and information about many health issues. Our health education programs extend to the community with speakers and events on topics related to reproductive health care. Call if you wish to arrange an educational program. Each year we offer workshops on many topics, including puberty, menopause and natural family planning.
